It’s a new week and there’s no better time to introduce you to another new member of the team. Archie Farquharson, has been with us for over 5 months and has managed to make a name for himself!

In this blog we learn more about Archie’s routine and what he enjoys doing outside of work!

Hey Archie, welcome to Aveni! How’s it going and what have you been up to since you joined?

Hey Hayfa! Everything is great, thank you. It has been an amazing 5 months and I have been really lucky to get exposure across the business since I joined! When I first started I was very much involved in the operational side of the business but as time has gone on I have managed to spend lots of time with sales, marketing, clients and helping develop the product!

Before we get started, tell us a little bit about your background and why you joined Aveni?

I studied Physics with Business at the University of Warwick before I joined Aveni. After I finished at university I wanted to work somewhere that had a lot to offer me and I could learn a lot and Aveni is the perfect place for that. Being in “startup land” is really dynamic, every day is different!

What are you currently working on and what does a typical day look like for you?

Recently I have been working with the product side of the business. This involves talking to clients about Aveni Detect and doing some analysis of our product to see what’s great and what can be made even better.

What do you enjoy most about working at Aveni and what does a typical day look like for you?

The thing I enjoy most about working at Aveni is the variety of work I get to do. In 5 months at the business I have learnt a huge amount and been able to work across multiple business functions with lots of fantastic people.

What has been one of your best days at Aveni?

THE CHRISTMAS PARTY! (It was great to get the whole team together!)

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I am a keen sportsman and really enjoy getting some exercise after a day of work -I often play tennis or padel tennis.

What is your favorite holiday destination and why?

Italy – lovely weather, amazing food, beautiful scenery and sites, what is not to like!
