Overview

Aveni is an Edinburgh and London based, award-winning technology start-up with deep expertise in Natural Language Processing. We have strong links to the University of Edinburgh and are deploying the latest research in conversational analytics to applications in the Financial Services Industry. Our 'Human+' approach combines a unique pipeline of speech technology and natural language processing to transform client engagement across the service industry. We are partnering with some of the UK's largest banks and financial services providers.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CTO, you will work closely with the team of developers, guiding them to meet project objectives. You will have significant involvement in the continual evolution of our products, working collaboratively to improve and develop their technology.

The ideal candidate will be a strong software engineer with experience delivering high quality NLP, AI or Machine Learning products, who also has experience leading a development team. Your work will be a mix of writing code and helping lead the team to success.

Requirements

 

  • Experience delivering SaaS products to large enterprises
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to provide technical mentoring, motivate colleagues, help the team understand priorities and make plans to ensure we meet our goals
  • A track record of contributing to product engineering, both as a full stack developer and in a leadership role
  • Enthusiasm and passion for using modern scalable products on an AWS platform
  • Good understanding and experience of agile working practices
