What is Task Registry?

A task registry is a structured catalogue of the specific actions and workflows that an AI agent can perform. It defines what tasks are available, the parameters each task requires and the conditions under which tasks can be executed. In financial services, a task registry might include actions such as generating meeting summaries, extracting client objectives, checking compliance against Consumer Duty requirements or scheduling follow-up activities. The registry ensures agents operate predictably and within approved boundaries.

Task Registry in financial services

In a financial services setting, a task registry is part of controlling what an AI agent is allowed to do. By defining each permitted task and its conditions in advance, firms can limit agents to approved activities and show exactly what an agent can and cannot act on.
